My woolen coat came with a fur scarf. The scarf attaches to the collar with buttons. I take the fur scarf collar off and wear it with my jean jacket. You don't have to attach it if you don't want to, you just wear it on top of the collar. Little button up sweaters are very popular again, so attach the collar on top of the sweater. Attach a broche (decorative pin) on the fur, and now you have another look too.
The fur and sweater remind me of the 1950's, so a string of pearls, and you have an elegant look; fur, sweater, pearls=VINTAGE

BLING FOR THE SEASON
I love to dress my outfits for the season depending on the month, the holiday and or the season. My closet actually holds a few pieces of clothing I only wear around Christmas; a red sweater, a bling bling Christmas tree pin, rhinestone earrings, and a shiny rhinestone ring.
This Black Friday, I visited Old Navy and found some really cute long sleeved tee shirts with sequin, sparkles and glitter.
"Hope" "Peace" and "Love" were the words presented on these wonderful tees.
Grey, aqua, hot pink, red, green, and white were some of the colors to pick out from.
Price-$5.00. The day after Black Friday, they went up to $8.00 and then went up in price after that so as you can see Black Friday was the best day to buy these. I did not show up at 6:00 am. I went late afternoon and did miss out on some inexpensive items.
My favorite was the grey tee with "Hope" on it with a sparkly diamond ring. XS and S were the only sizes-see, if I had gone at 6:00 am, I would have been able to get one:)
The day after Black Friday was my hit though. I ran back just in case, just in hope that I would find one. Yup, someone left a L behind. Three dollars more but I knew this tee will be one of my favorites and never go out of style, and if it does, I will just sew up a tee shirt pillow.
Just a reminder-buy some woolite and wash your items on a delicate setting especially the more fragile and less expensive tees that may shrink or lose their glitter.
Wear your tee under a jean jacket, throw on a vintage pin on your lapel and you look Christmasy. I did that with my grey "Hope" tee.
My hot pink "LOVE" tee that I got for $5.00 I wore under my black wool coat, threw on my hotpink and yellow green scarf, hot pink leather gloves and I have just dressed up my jeans for a night out with my hubby. Your shoes can make a difference. A Pair of flats can make your outfit more casual and your heels a dress up.
Your tee can be worn with a dressy skirt and then casual it down with a corderoy jacket and winter scarf. Great for the office.

Black Dress-Part 2
I have two black dresses. One is right below the knee, form fitting and no sleeves.
I have a yellow cardigan button up sweater. Pearls; one strand or more combined with the sweater, and you have a sophisticated look.
My other black dress, new to my wardrobe, is a stretch knit, where the one above is a dry cleaner fabric. This black dress is sleeveless, to the ankles and full round. I am putting together a bunch of ideas for this dress. I have a grey turtle neck sweater that I can wear underneath it or on top of it. One look shows the black dress up more, the other looks like a skirt with a long top over it. I can wear a belt for either style. Jewelry changes the whole look also. Rhinestones or pearls are one direction for this dress, the other is costume updated jewelry. I also picked up a crochet dress that again, can go over the black dress, can go under so the crochet lace shows as another under layer. That jean jacket again makes a dressy outfit just right for day wear even with that crochet lace peeking out. I even put the crochet dress on first, then the black dress, then the grey sweater dress. A large wide belt pulls all of the layers together. High heels in red, grey or black are chic.

Window Shopping
Clothing-expensive clothing in Andover Massachusetts. I would call yesterday a window shopping day.
Beautiful fabrics, colors, textures and designs. Don't excuse the idea of finding an accessory in these exclusive stores. I walked into Lyn Evans-Potpourri Designs and found four racks with price changes from $6.99 to $19.99; mostly summer clothing but that is alright, because that is when you can purchase stylish items for next spring and summer or wear that little elegant shirt under a jean jacket or belted rain coat. Many shirts from this summer are flowy, ruffled or graphic and look stunning with a little color peeking out of that fall jacket. Remember, hot pink can look great with the colors of rust, khaki or black. Aqua can look great with olive green or sage.
